A Central Tendency

I have a central tendency
When I'm behind the wheel;
I drive upon the median
And with delight I squeal.

It's not my sign's ascendancy
That makes me drive this way;
It's just that that's my normal mode --
I'm the same at work or play.

It is a strange dependency,
I'll readily admit.
I'm not trying to be mean
I'm there, that's all, that's it!
