Other's On-Line Resources (Chapter 15)


  • Description:
    Although this on-line resource is only text-based (and not interactive), it contains a clear explanation of ANCOVA's purpose, needed data, underlying assumptions, and potential usefulness to applied researchers.

  • What to Do:
    1. Click on the colored title of this on-line resource: "One-Way ANCOVA."
    2. On the screen that pops up, read the text and carefully examine the "pictures" you'll see. When finished, click on "Go to Chapter 17, Part 2."
    3. Scroll down to and then read the last section on the page that pops up. It is entitled, "Assumptionms of ANCOVA." After reading this material, click on "Go to Chapter 17, Part 3."
    4. On the screen that pops up, read the first section. It's entitled, "Example 2: Three Methods of Instruction for Elementary Computer Programming."
    5. Scroll down to Section 4e to see the ANCOVA summary table for Example 2.
